Build
The build team is responsible for the mechanical design and fabrication of the robot and other projects that go on throughout the year. They are also responsible for building and maintaining the robot and provide important information to the programming subteam. Students learn skills in building, physics, and math. The members of the build team include Brogan Theobald, Dylan Smith, Matt Stewart, and Austin Sester. The head of build is Zach Denlinger.
Programming
In the programming team, some are responsible for the basic coding of the yearly robot. The robot programming subteam is responsible for the ability for the robot to function. Members of the programming team are also part of the website subteam, who create and maintain the team website. Robot programmers include Joseph Lee and James with Ben Duvall as the head. The webmaster is Joseph Lee.
CAD
The Computer-Aided Design(CAD) team are a group of students who help design the basic building blocks for almost everything developed by the build team. The CAD team brainstorms and creates basic digital 3d models of their ideas and help others decide what will be the best for build and how to approach the start of a building project. Before anything is built, the CAD team makes a model of it beforehand. The head of the CAD team is Dylan Smith.
Electrical
The electrical team is responsible for the wiring and electrical work of the robot and other projects that go on throughout the year. They are also responsible for maintaining the electronical systems and control systems for the robot. Students learn skills in electrical wiring, building, and math. The head of electrical work is Gabe Cutter.
Imagery
The imagery team is responsible for the yearly design of the team's T-shirts, theme, and logo on the bot and work pit. This subteam is very important because FIRST requires every team to project their creativity and messages to others. Members of the imagery subteam also maintain our social media profiles on Twitter and Instagram to help spread the message of FIRST. The head of the imagery team is Luke Cutter.
Scouting
After qualification rounds at competitions, there is a playoffs bracket with 3 robots on each team. Each alliance captain selects two other bots to form an alliance in hopes of winning the competition. The scouting team's job is to assess which bot works best with their team and what combination will ensure the greatest success at competitions. It is also the scouting team's job to create a chart of statistical data of each bot at the competition. Without scouts, strong alliances cannot be formed, which makes it harder to win competitions. The head of the scouting team is Joseph Lee.
